Fun Things to Do in Devon with Children

If you’re travelling to Devon with your children and perhaps a partner too; you’re going to need to plan ahead in order to keep your children on their toes at all times. Woodlands Leisure Park
The Woodlands Leisure Park provides a superb day out for families with young children; there’s so much for you and your little ones to see and do, you may not be able to fit it all into one day!
In Pedal Town your children can practice their driving skills against each other to see who comes out on top, at the Zoo Farm there are 5 barns full of animals for you to discover; we have approximately 500 animals ranging from different species of birds to many different types of insect.
There are also themed rides and areas for you to explore; whether there’s rain, wind or snow the Woodlands Leisure Park will still be open for business.

Buckfast Butterflies and Otter Sanctuary
Spending the day at Buckfast Butterflies and Otter Sanctuary is a wonderful idea if you’d like to take your children on an exciting day out. At Buckfast Butterflies and Otter Sanctuary there are 3 species of otter alongside our native resident the British otter; there’s also a wide variety of butterflies, moths, birds and fish for you to see.

Rainbow Funhouse
The Rainbow Funhouse provides a multi-level adventure play area that’s more than 13,000 sq ft in size; within this area there is a race track, a log flume and there are also a number of themed rooms. The themed rooms are based on pirates, fairies, the circus and there’s even a video room and disco zone! If your children are quite adventurous and would love nothing more than an active day out, the Rainbow Funhouse is the right choice for you.

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park
This particular location is a superb place for you to take your children to; there are a multitude of animals for you children to see! There are lions, wolves, otters, monkeys and even penguins; for the best experience why not watch as the otters feed or take a seat at the sea lion show? There’s even a train ride that you can take part in to see the sights at the Wildlife and Dinosaur Park. For a fantastic fun-filled day out head down to the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park.
