Every season reveals a different side of Exmoor National Park and North Devon. Spring brings fresh colour, quieter trails and longer days. Summer fills Lynton and Lynmouth with festivals, long evenings and life outdoors, while autumn brings changing landscapes, dramatic skies and some of the most atmospheric walking of the year.

At Highcliffe House, our five-star adults-only B&B in Lynton, the seasons are part of the experience too. The gardens awaken in spring, summer moves outdoors to the terrace and, as autumn arrives, the evenings draw in and the house takes on a warmer, cosier character.

With Exmoor, the Bristol Channel and the North Devon coast just beyond the door, each season offers a different reason to stay, explore and return.

From November through to the end of March, Highcliffe takes its annual rest – but our website stays very much awake. It is the perfect time to plan ahead, and our regular guests often secure their favourite rooms months in advance, particularly sought-after choices such as Myrtleberry with its private balcony and Summerhouse.
